Kale - here it is 6:30 and the first thing I did was to roll over and pick up my laptop - and BOOM, listened to yep you guessed it - your take on "Comparison is the thief of Joy!" And of course my response, you hit the nail on the head! No matter how successful you are, there's always going to be someone else who is doing better than you - unless you're of course Jeff Bezos who just happens to be the richest man in the world! But let's take a moment to think about who Jeff Bezos compares himself too? Mmmmm..richest man in the world - well who does he have to compete with? Gotta think about that one.
After some quick research, Jeff Bezos is undoubtedly innovative, smart, and has a superb head for business, but what he has or hasn’t done outside Amazon’s success warrants scrutiny. Do you think Bezos is an admirable role model? Is he happy? Well, he probably is quite happy, but again does money guarantee happiness? In my opinion happiness for one person may certainly differ for another as life goals are what guides us towards our search for happiness.
So one can say, does money bring you the happiness that you seek? I think most of us would agree it does otherwise we wouldn't be here. But if you take a moment to think beyond your personal financial success and monetary wealth, what you do with your money regardless of how much of it you have and what you do with it is what really matters.
And that's why I rolled over and opened my FB page and saw your post - Comparison is the thief of Joy and took five minutes to listen to it because I knew you were going to share something that would help me to start my day on a positive note.
You're obviously quite successful and like you always say - "I don't need the money" you take time to share your willingness in so many ways to mentor us towards success!! And despite not having blown by my own inhibitions to launch a product on Amazon or Jane.com - I have not given up nor do I intend too because soon enough I hope to be where you and many other's are who are selling successfully on a variety of platforms but also willing to help others in their journey towards financial freedom and success!! The quote I have always lived by and shared with many of whom I have have taught in my own profession - You have everything to gain and NOTHING to lose! So, thanks Kale for all that you and your team of coaches do to help all of us! I also want to thank other successful entrepreneurs within the NineU family who are always willing to help by sharing their time and healthy advice!! ONE FAMILY - sharing the same dream!!
Kale I think you are off to a great start, goals are always difficult and many will never relate. I felt each word keep writing. I also compare myself daily, faith in yourself will heal all doubt. Thanks for sharing once again!
